I checked task manager and found this service constantly pegging the processor wermgr.exe. I looked in Windows Defender to see what it was and found out it was the Windows Problem Reporting Service and here is how to turn it off...

In Windows Vista this is enabled by default to send error reports to Microsoft.

Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Problem Reports and Solutions > Change settings > Advanced settings

From here you can turn the error reporting off.

In Windows Vista this is enabled by default to send error reports to Microsoft.

My drive is pretty quiet now
